ReplyDeleteI’ve interviewed one of the ED students who do a part-time job. Her complete name is Amanda Rosalina Ardine. She was born on April 18, 1989 in Madiun, East Java. Despite completing her study in English Department, she had another activity which wasn’t related to her major. She did a part-time job not as an English teacher, but as a coffee marker at Frame Coffee House. She’s worked there for about 5 months. There were some reasons why she decided to do a part-time job. First, she wanted to earn money by herself. Second, she wanted to add some experiences to her life. Then, she also said that she was bored at her boarding house because this was her last semester and she wasn’t busy. That’s why, she decided to do a part-time job.
ReplyDeleteIn the interview, Ardine also explained how she could be accepted to work at Frame Coffee House. She said that she met the owner of the coffee house and did the interview process. After that, she was trained by the owner for about 2 months. In the training, Ardine had to know and understand how to differentiate the concentration of acid and the bitterness of each coffee.
Although she worked to 6 days from 4 pm to 11 pm, she was happy and enjoy with her job. She said that so far so good and she wanted to learn more to be a good coffee marker.

i have interview my friends and his name is Ghanes who does the part time job.He is a guitarist from a band on the cafe near his boarding house.The reason why he do that is to get enough money for pay his boarding house and he can buy anything that he want.He was so busy because of it.His work time is from 1 pm to 5 pm.But,he really enjoy the job because he love playing guitar so much

I have interviewed Ong Neysa who ED student in Satya Wacana University. She said that she felt afraid when she faced the exam, especially she does not like the course and for her it difficult. She has to prepare at least 2 days before the exam, like integrated course she spends more time to prepare it because from her opinion it is the most difficult course in ED. In ED class there is no one who cheating because the students afraid it would be known by the teacher and we would get an E grade.

I have interview my friend about his activities,his name is Edo. He is an energetic guy. At campus,he often seen at the cafe because he always study near F building. After class,he go straight home and study again.That is so boring,but he is a friendly person. He likes jokes and disturbs another student.He also likes sing,and his favorites song is 'Imagine' of 'The Beatles'.
ReplyDeleteI have interviewed one of my friends, Galuh. She is 2008'er. I asked her about student activity.
ReplyDeleteShe loves to get includes on any activity, such as SEMA and any committee. Last semester, she joined in SEMA and LovED committee. She had something to do with, but it didn't decrease her grade.
She also said that she really wanted to join in another ED activity. However, she had to think about her thesis, she forgot it.
Here, galuh perfectly enjoys joining in any ED activities.

I've interviewed one of my friend. Her name is Martina Presillia Sutanto. She is from Semarang, and now majoring in English Department. I asked her opinion about ED classroom environment. She said that classroom environments in F building are not so bad, although there are some broken chairs and not suitable to use.
ReplyDeleteShe also said that she's satisfied already with the environment as long as it wont interrupt the studying process. The rooms are big enough, and the windows give good circulation for the fresh air. And because of that, she wont demand for more.
Environment is necessary since it will influences our mood, as she said, good classroom environment will grow passion for students to study.

I have interviewed one of my friends abaout the part time job. He is Darwanto, my Senior High School's friend, and student of English Department too. I asked him about his part time job. And i have the answers that i want because he has many kinds of part time job that he ever take.
ReplyDeleteHe is an announcer in one of local radio in Salatiga. He takes this part time job since he was in Senior High School. He said that this job was interesting, although he has to go home at midnight sometimes.
Beside of that job, sometimes people also asked him to be a Host in some even. I think his talent is in this sector.
"If you think that some job is interested, just take it" he said.

I reported my interview result with one of ex-students of English Department. Her name is Serrenata Editya (2006ers), but I usually call her Serra. I asked about her part-time job during her studied in English Department. She worked as a private English teacher for Junior High School. Her students' name were Felicia and Yosia. Serra always comes to their house twice a week. She has been teaching Felicia and Yosia for 2 years. She said that she enjoyed doing her part-time job so much because it was her field.Moreover, the salary that she got was not really bad, she said. She used to keep her salary in a bank or if she want to buy something she can use that money.

I have interviewed my friend. Her name is Wenda Insani Wangi, usually I call her Wenda. She is from Solo. She said that ED Exam is not too dificult. She said that, the key to success in every exam is listen what the lectures explain in every lesson that they give to you. She also good listener. She got good mark in her first and second GE. She said that she enjoys her college life in English Depatment. It is necessary to give the best in English Department and also in the ED Exam.

I’ve interviewed one of my friend, also from 2011 class year, named Victoria Christine. I asked her some questions about ED’s student activities. Besides experiencing her first year at English Department, she is also joining ShED. But this week, she is also busy for preparing ED’s Welcoming Party. After classes, she always meet her team mates to make the Welcoming Party’s costume and practice their performance for Welcoming Party’s talent night. She likes her activities in ED, but for preparing the Welcoming Party, she gets tired.
ReplyDeleteShe thought that it is important for all freshmen to join student activities to make friends and find a new experience, and ED has many varieties of student activities that will fulfill many interests of ED’s students. Now, she is just joining ShED, but next time she has a plan to join ED’s event as a committee, for LoVED or ECD. “I am proud being a part of English Department, I love all of my activities here,” said Christine to close the interview.

I reported the result of my interview with my friend who named "Ari Kristiawan" from 2007er. He told me that he has part time job as Internet Operator at Dipo 66 Internet Center. He has been working for 3 month. He earns his salary normally to help to pay his studying that still remain 2 semester again. Honestly, he fells hard when he should divide his working and studying. Because it actually is not easy to work and study in the same period of time as university student. Consequently, he must study hardly to finish his courses as soon as possible. He has to work because of his economical condition in his family that demand him to help his parents.From this interviewed, I can learn about life, it makes me always grateful to the god who given sufficiently life.
ReplyDeletehii,,I've interviewed one of my friend in bordinghouse.Her name is Nike.She came from Kupang E.NT also the same city n province with me.She is from 2010'er.She really likes to follow on any ED program such as ED voice because her voice is really good and the most interesting thing from her is she likes to join TAEKWONDO that's way she looks like tomboy girl.I asked why she followed that activity and her answered "eemm I just wanna protect my self from someone who try to distrub my own life"

Today i have interviewed one of my friend in ED about ED teachers-students relationship and she said that the relationship between teacher and studets in FBS are good, awesome and friendly.
ReplyDeleteWhy that she said that because she already felt how wonderfull to have a relationship with the teachers.For example at the firt time she saw Mr Roffin in her minds she thought that Mr Roffin very killer and it changed her minds after followed the lesson and she said that Mr Roffin is a good person not killer and not as she imagine before. The fact is all off the lecturers in FBS was very friendly.Maybe we should remember that "DON'T LOOK PEOPLE especially The TEACHERS FROM THE COVER"

Hay..I have interviewed one of my friends from English Department.Her name is Nana and she came from Timor Leste.
ReplyDeleteI asked her opinions about teachers and students relationship in the Faculty of Language and Literature of our university.She said that she liked the teachers.They were kind to students and they do their best work in teaching.They have taught us the lessons and made us understood the lessons clearly.
I also asked her,if a teacher gave her a bad mark for her examination,what would she does.will she angry and hates the teacher or not.And she said that she will never angry and hate a teacher if she gets a bad mark because maybe that's her mistakes not the teacher.She will always keep her good relation with the teacher.She said that she looked the teachers and students relation in ED was good.Student can ask many question to their teachers and their teachers always help them too.
One reason she'd like to join ED was because of the teachers.The great lecturers.

I have interviewed one of my friends from eleveners. His name is Darwanto or you can call him Antok. He is from Salatiga.
ReplyDeleteI asked him about his part-time job. He told me that he has a part-time job in Zenith Radio at Salatiga as a DJ or Disk Jokey for pop music session. He has been working since he studying at senior high school. He broadcast at night and at morning so he often sleep at the radio.
He told me aboit his salary. He thinks if the salary is not bad so he can save it and use it forfill his requirements.

According to Ruth Victoria Ima Yulianingsih (one of my ED friends), ED exams were rather surprisingly. It was her very first time heading the IC test and she was rather shock. She think that the test were rather difficult, especially for Structure and Writing test. For these two of test she had to do in hurry, she thought that the time wasn't enough, there must be extra time. The lecturer who was lookout for those IC test was walking around the students so that no one could cheating at that time. Ruth was rather interrupted by that lecturer who broke her concentration by giving many of instructions during the test.

I have interviewed one of my friends, she is Dimitra Liany Maslebu, from Maluku. I asked her about ED classroom enviroment, she said that recently ED environment looked dirty because we were making properties for makrab, and the materials for the property was spreading everywhere, but inside the classroom of ED faculty is fine, she said that is very clean and comfortable to study, include the chairs, she said it is nice to study in ED classroom because it has nice air circulation.

She also like singing and theater. She said that she want to join with ED Voice or EDRT to improve her talent. And she always prepare her self for that.

I have interviewed one of my friend. Her name is Meirista Kurnia Putri. I asked her several question about her part time job. From my interview with Meirista, I knew that her part time job is in Venny Music School in Salatiga. She became a keyboard teacher there. She really enjoys her part time job because she love playing keyboard, and I know she is skilled at playing keyboard. This job training her to face the real job after she graduated from ED. She usually works there every Wednesday at 2 a.m. until 5 p.m. and every Friday in the same time. One thing that I like from Meirista is when she playing keyboard with passion.

I've interviewed one of my friend Roro Rengganis(112011084). I asked her opinion about our classroom environment. She said that the room was great and it is already become an appropriate place for studying. There are some LCD players which help the lectures and the students in many ways, such as display pictures and materials, a presentation, etc.
ReplyDeleteAnis also said, she loved the class condition because it get enough sunlight from the big-wide windows and also the electricity which is always ready to be used.
Fortunately, there is Wi-Fi facility which is very useful for the teacher and students because it becomes handy when you have to look for an example or an material from the internet.
Another side, she said that ED is the best place for studying English and she was not do a wrong thing by choosing Satya Wacana Christian University as place for learning and developing herself.

ReplyDeleteFor the first exam, she felt that it was difficult because she did not know how the exam would be look alike, and she didnt have much time for preparation, and also she rarely did the exercise from the lecture.
She thought that the exam would be as easy as in the high school, but she's wrong, she must thinking hard before she could find the way to solve it.
So for next exam, she will study harder and will do the exercise that the lecture has given.

ReplyDeleteIn her opinion, she said that the classroom rally infect the learning - teaching activity. She said, she always enjoyed the situation in class but sometimes if there were many student outside the class and they make a noise, it made her hard to paying attention to the lesson.
She also said when there is learning - teaching activity it will be more interesting if the lecture are attractive and absolutely teach about material clearly.
